Welcome to the website of the folk dancing ensemble Poleno.

Slovak word Poleno means "log" and our motto is "From every log could be dancer. Sooner or later :-)"

Our repertoire consists of separate dances and songs from various parts of Slovakia and which are based on our rich folklore heritage. We do not dance only traditional dances, but we adapt dances and add humour and entertainment to our performances.

We take amusement seriously. Very seriously.
